Gullit, Van Basten & Rijkard. For the older generations, clear memories of these soulmates include planting seeds of football magic whilst playing for A.C. Milan and Netherlands National team.

For the younger generations, an indisputable memory of iconic figures and a legacy of immortal players have largely contributed to A.C. Milan becoming one of the most successful clubs in the world. Red and black mixing with orange, these three swept defences making the attacking third their stage.

The immortals, invincibles, took football to a whole new level in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when Gullit, an unusual libero, the black tulip, complementing the disciplined centre forward Van Basten, the Swan of Utrecht and with Rijkaard, the last one to arrive at the party, capable of playing in multiple positions, won all individual and team trophies.

Gullit, Ballon D´Or 1987, Van Basten 3x Ballon D´Or in 1988, 1989 and 1992 show the talent powerhouse that Rijkaard also helped building. These three won European Champion´s Club cup (replaced by Champions League), Italian Champions, Champions League Winners, Italian Super Cup, Italian Cup, Intercontinental Cup Winners and UEFA Supercup, Winner.
